Fan Jianchuan, the creator of the Jianchuan Museum Complex in Dayi County, about 90 minutes outside of Chengdu, has arranged a meeting for 60 years of age old “youth sent down to the countryside” and arranged for an educational troupe to visit Chongqing and a dozen other cities to help today’s educated youth through performance, letters, and music understand the sacrifices of that generation of Chinese youth.  He showed a group of the old “youth” the newest museum in the complex, the  Zhiqing bowuguan “sent down to the countryside youth museum” I suppose it could be translated.   Fan notes on his microblog (recent entries copied below)  that after on October 14 showing the old “youth” the museum, he locked it up since the authorities will need to approve the exhibition before it can open to the general public.

Some videos of the performances are online

Many of the red songs song by young people today romanticize the era, Fan wants people to understand the history of the period, and the tragedies of many of the young intellectuals sent to the countryside.
