Yueyang, Hunan Bans Cars and People from Hubei; Central Wuhan Bans All Unauthorized Vehicles

The Yueyang City, Hunan Province Public Health Emergency Response Command Center on January 24th issued Order #1 that all cars and people from Hubei Province be prevented from entering Yueyang City, Hunan and its subordinate counties.

To the new type coronavirus pneumonia epidemic prevention and control working groups of all subordinate counties and urban areas, to the city Public Security Bureau and to the City Transportation Bureau:

In order to do a good job in new type coronavirus pneumonia epidemic prevention and control, we need to effectively cutoff routes for the virus to spread and to prevent the virus from reaching our city. Therefore, according to the requirements of the “Hunan Province Decision on Response to Class One Public Health Emergencies”, it is hereby ordered that all vehicles and all person coming to our city from Hubei Province be stopped and told to return. Under no circumstances are they to be permitted to enter the Yueyang region.

This order is effective from January 24, 2020 at 1400 hours. Termination of this order will be notified separately.

Journalists learned that in order to reduce the chances of contagion due to the circulation of people, the Wuhan City New Type Pneumonia Prevention and Control Center has issued a notice of transportation restrictions in the central urban districts of Wuhan as follows:

From 0000 hours January 26, 2020, all motor vehicles are banned in the central urban districts of Wuhan with the exception of specifically authorized free transportation vehicles and official vehicles. If citizens have a need for transportation, they should refer to the Center’s Notice No. 8. Every community has enough vehicles available to meet the demand for them.

  记者获悉,为控制人员流动引发的传染风险,武汉市新型肺炎防控指挥部现就城区交通管制事项通告如下:

  自2020年1月26日0时始,除经许可的保供运输车、免费交通车、公务用车外,中心城区区域实行机动车禁行管理。市民确有通行需求的,按指挥部第8号通告执行,各社区配备足够车辆保障需求。
